This was our first observatory. It was a simple frame of PVC pipes and black plastic. While it was not very sturdy, it was very effective at keeping stray light away from the scopes, and very easy to setup, and take down.

The next observatory was much sturdier. We made it from pressure treated 2X2s and a material called Rmax. The panels were very light weight and the entire structure could be taken down and stored in less than 1 hour.

Inside the metal shed, is our control center. From here we are able to control the drive system, remote focuser, and cameras, and record images.

This is our latest addition. we used privacy fence for the walls of our newest observatory. We plan on building a roll off roof for it next year.
